The Fish & Shrimp Virus Detector is a device designed for the detection of viruses in fish and shrimp in aquaculture. In the aquaculture industry, viral infections can severely impact the health of fish and shrimp as well as farming operations, making timely and accurate virus detection critically important.
Our fish and shrimp virus detector employs real‑time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology, a widely used molecular biology method for viral detection in aquaculture. The PCR detector amplifies and detects nucleic acid sequences of specific viruses, enabling reliable identification of infections in target fish or shrimp species.

Instrument Structure

The real‑time reaction detector consists of four main components:
  1. Gene Amplification Thermal Cycler System

  2. Real‑time Fluorescence Detection System

  3. Microcircuit Control System

  4. Computer and application software

The two core functional modules are the thermal cycler system and the real‑time fluorescence detection system.
  • The gene amplification thermal cycler uses semiconductor heating and cooling to perform thermal cycling, with a working principle similar to conventional gene amplifiers.

  • The fluorescence detection system comprises a fluorescence excitation unit, optical signal transmission components, a fluorescence detection unit, and a control system.
