For a long time, superior bloodlines have been regarded as a key factor in racing performance. The term "superior bloodlines" refers to specific heritable genotypes. Given that certain genes significantly influence athletic performance in racing pigeons, and with reference to authoritative literature and European testing experience combined with our innovative technologies, three key markers have been identified:
homing ability (DRD4), endurance (LDHA), and cryptochrome (CRY1). These markers provide valuable references for breeding and flight performance. Testing these indicators offers a more scientific basis for fanciers to select racing and breeding pigeons.
Our pigeon flight performance analyzer integrates the above genetic research. It can simultaneously identify:
  • Pigeon gender

  • Genotypes related to flight performance, including

    • Homing ability (DRD4)

    • Endurance (LDHA)

    • Navigation and circadian rhythm (CRY1)

Instrument Structure

The real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR system is a real-time reaction detection instrument, mainly composed of:
  1. Gene amplification thermal cycler system

  2. Real-time fluorescence detection system

  3. Microcircuit control system

  4. Computer and application software

The two core functional modules are the thermal cycler system and the real-time fluorescence detection system.
  • The gene amplification thermal cycler uses semiconductor heating and cooling to perform thermal cycling, with a working principle similar to conventional PCR instruments.

  • The fluorescence detection system consists of a fluorescence excitation unit, optical signal transmission components, a fluorescence detection unit, and a control system.

  6. Constant-current control circuit ensures smooth power output, extends Peltier lifespan and improves temperature control accuracy.

  8. Powerful software supporting quantitative analysis, melting curve analysis and genotyping; free lifetime software updates and customization for different industries.
