Instrument Overview

The Animal/Pet Disease Detector is a device used to detect the presence of pathogens or diseases in animal biological samples. It plays a critical role in animal health monitoring, epidemic control and prevention. A wide range of animal disease detectors are available, with specific methods and technologies depending on the target diseases and sample types.
Developed by Youyunpu, this Animal Disease Detector utilizes Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), a widely adopted molecular biology technique. It can detect pathogen DNA or RNA in animal body fluids or tissue samples. The PCR instrument amplifies and identifies nucleic acid sequences of specific pathogens, enabling accurate diagnosis of target infectious diseases.

Instrument Structure

The real‑time reaction detector consists of four main components:
  1. Gene Amplification Thermal Cycler System

  2. Real‑time Fluorescence Detection System

  3. Microcircuit Control System

  4. Computer and application software

The two core functional modules are the thermal cycler system and the real‑time fluorescence detection system.
  • The gene amplification thermal cycler uses semiconductor heating and cooling to perform thermal cycling, with a working principle similar to conventional PCR instruments.

  • The fluorescence detection system comprises a fluorescence excitation unit, optical signal transmission components, a fluorescence detection unit, and a control system.
