I. Product Overview

The YP‑P48 PCR Amplifier is mainly designed for real‑time fluorescent quantitative PCR (qPCR) experiments. It monitors the reaction in real time through fluorescence excitation and signal acquisition, plots fluorescence curves displayed on the instrument interface, performs data fitting and analysis, and finally generates experimental reports in PDF format.
It provides rapid, accurate qualitative and quantitative analysis of target nucleic acids in biological samples taken from animals (e.g., blood, body fluids). It also supports advanced analyses including standard curves, melting curves, and genotyping for specialized samples.

II. Basic Principles

Working Principle of the YP‑P48 PCR Amplifier

Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is a molecular biology technique that amplifies specific DNA fragments in vitro. It can be regarded as a specialized DNA amplification process outside a living organism, consisting of repeated thermal cycles:
  • High‑temperature denaturation

  • Low‑temperature annealing

  • Moderate‑temperature extension

This cycle enables rapid amplification of target genes with high specificity, high sensitivity, simplicity, and speed, representing a major innovation in gene amplification technology. PCR can amplify trace amounts of target DNA by millions of times, greatly enhancing the ability to analyze and detect DNA molecules.
Real‑time fluorescent quantitative PCR (qPCR) is developed based on conventional PCR by adding fluorescent dyes or fluorescently labeled probes. It monitors the entire PCR process in real time by measuring fluorescence signal intensity after each cycle. Using internal or external references, it enables quantitative analysis of specific DNA sequences in test samples.
